Custom Cake Ordering Guidelines
How do I place an order?
Orders need to be placed by email. Email is great for sharing design inspirations & images. In the email, let us know the date of your event, the number of servings desired, any of your ideas that you have in mind and any photos of the cake designs you would like a quote on. We will respond to your email as soon as we can. A $25 deposit is required at time of booking to order custom cakes. The deposit will come off of your remaining balance. Email:artofcakesbakery@gmail.com
Cake orders are not placed until a deposit is paid. Deposits are non-refundable. We do not accept checks.
When should I place my order?
For cakes without custom decoration, we recommend that orders be placed at least 24 hours in advance. If you need a cake immediately, we try to offer a variety of 8” cakes in our display case. For custom cakes, we recommend that you place your order at a week in advance. For a custom cake on shorter notice, please contact us to discuss options. We do our best to accommodate last minute custom orders, but we cannot guarantee availability. All details need to be finalized, including the date that the cake is due, by 1 week priorto the pick-up date.
How much will my cake cost?
We have no specific prices for custom cakes. Custom orders are priced depending on the complexity of the design and the size of the cake. Once we see the pictures of the designs that you are interested in & know the number of servings in the cake, we will be able to give you exact prices for each design that you send. Custom orders begin at $40. Fondant decorated cakes are more expensive than a buttercream decorated cake. This is due to the amount of work require to create the details.
Will I be able to transport my cake?
We are only able to offer delivery on wedding orders with a $300 minimum order. All of our cakes come fully assembled, supported & boxed. We always recommend transporting the cake on the flat floor surface of a van or SUV. NEVER IN THE SEAT OF ANY VEHICLE! We cannot be responsible for any damages that may occur to the cake after it has left the bakery, unless being delivered by us. Once the cake has been picked up, it is not our responsibility.
